This apartment, set within one of Sydney’s most prestigious residential buildings the Manar, called for an interior that would reflect the individuality of its owners while feeling entirely at home within its remarkable setting. The design embraces the elegance of the building while bringing a more personal and expressive character to the way the clients live. Art Deco influences appear throughout in sculptural lighting, strong geometry, rich finishes and moments of symmetry, layered with colour, pattern and unexpected decorative details. Each space was given its own identity and mood. In the dining room, the deep botanical wallpaper draws inspiration from the Manar’s exquisite established gardens, bringing a sense of the landscape into the interior. Navy and brass create a more intimate bedroom, while softer tones of blush, blue and ochre give the living room a lighter, more playful character. Bespoke rugs, statement lighting and carefully selected furniture bring these different expressions together. The result is bold without being excessive, glamorous without becoming formal, a highly personal home that reflects its owners while sitting effortlessly within the grandeur of the Manar.
